Profhilo

Profhilo is the first BDDE-free injectable Hyaluronic Acid (HA) that helps to hydrate the skin and treat skin laxity. This 64mg/2mls of stabilised HA results in a slow sustained release for bioremodelling to occur. It contains high concentrations of 2 types of hyaluronic acid: high molecular weight (H-HA) and low molecular weight hyaluronic acid(L-HA). The L-HA helps to hydrate the skin while the H-HA helps to replace volume and gives a lifting effect.

The recommended protocol is 2-3 sessions spaced 1 month apart, followed by maintenance of 2 sessions every 6 months.

Numbing cream is applied to the face for about 20-30 minutes. Subsequently, the 10-point BAP injection technique of Profhilo is performed which typically takes 5-10minutes. With less injection points than Rejuran, it is generally well tolerated by everyone. 

The bumps created from the injection points usually subside within a few days, for some people, it may subside within a day. There is a small risk of bleeding/bruising at the injection site and the risks vary from individual. Otherwise, the downtime is minimal.
