How long does the treatment take?
Numbing cream is applied for about 30 minutes. After the numbing cream is removed, the procedure generally takes about 20 minutes.
Is it painful?
Microneedling RF is tolerable by most patients with appropriate analgesia such as topical numbing cream and oral painkillers.
Is there downtime?
There is usually redness and there may be microdots and skin peeling – all these should resolve within a week. Some patients who are acne-prone are at risk of an acne flare, this can be mitigated with appropriate treatment settings and post-treatment care.
How many sessions do I need?
Generally you can see some results after a single session, however we recommend 3-5 sessions every 4-6 weeks.
