Full face and neck
The flagship protocol. 1,000 to 4,500 shots calibrated per zone, depth-targeted at SMAS, deep dermis, and surface dermis.
1 session · maintenance every 12 to 18 months
Twenty minutes with Dr Samantha first. She reads your skin tone, laxity grade, and the area being targeted before any energy is delivered, then runs Ultraformer MPT at the depth your skin needs. Most patients see early firmness in two to four weeks, with continued tightening to month six. Individual results vary.

A HIFU treatment at Nexus covers five primary areas. Pricing reflects the calibrated shot count per area, not a single fixed protocol. HIFU face protocols at Nexus span 200 shots for the eye area to 4,500 shots for full face plus neck.
Patients often come in asking about a HIFU facelift for a sagging jawline or neck. On Ultraformer MPT, Dr Samantha works the lift through the deeper SMAS and dermal layers, calibrated to your laxity grade rather than a single fixed setting.
HIFU stands for High Intensity Focused Ultrasound. At Nexus, focused sound energy is delivered through Ultraformer MPT at three calibrated depths in your skin: 4.5 millimetres at the SMAS layer, 3.0 millimetres at the deep dermis, and 1.5 millimetres at the surface dermis. At each depth the energy creates a small thermal coagulation point that triggers a wound-healing response. Your body remodels new collagen across that grid over the months that follow. The tightening happens from the inside, through collagen remodelling, without an incision.
Three changes happen across a course of treatment:
Most patients see early firmness in two to four weeks. Full collagen remodelling peaks at month three to six and holds for twelve to eighteen months. Individual results vary by age, skin tone, laxity grade, and aftercare.

Ultraformer MPT is a third-generation focused-ultrasound platform with cartridges spanning face, neck, and body. Dr Samantha chose it for two reasons. It offers real area coverage on one device, and calibrated cartridges per depth so the protocol can be matched to your skin rather than a single fluence applied across the whole face.

The right question is not whether the energy is strong enough. It is whether the energy is placed at the right depth for your face. Most of the HIFU treatment gone wrong stories online (facial hollowing, uneven tightening, no result at all) trace to one of three things: wrong cartridge depth for the area treated, generic machines applying a single fluence across the whole face, or a patient whose laxity grade did not actually fit this approach in the first place.
Ultraformer MPT delivers focused energy at the dermis and SMAS layer, where collagen remodels. The fat layer sits below those depths and is not the energy target. When cartridge depth, shot count, and skin tone are calibrated by an experienced doctor, the result is firmer, tighter skin. When it is not calibrated, the result is uneven energy distribution and disappointment.
At Nexus, every session is read first. Skin tone, laxity grade, prior treatments, the specific area being targeted. The device choice is fixed; the protocol is not.
Two things made the choice. Ultraformer MPT covers face, neck, and selected body laxity on one platform. The device has dedicated cartridges per depth, so the protocol can be calibrated by skin tone and laxity grade rather than a single energy setting applied across the face.
Three things Dr Samantha reads at the first appointment:
This is why the first appointment at Nexus is a 20-minute consultation, not a same-day treatment. If your laxity is too advanced for energy-based tightening alone, Dr Samantha will tell you so. Combination protocols (with Profhilo for skin quality, or with thread placement for structural cases) handle the rest. If the read says Ultraformer MPT alone is the right call, the protocol gets calibrated to your skin first.

HIFU is a strong tool for the right laxity grade. It is not a fit for every skin. The honest filter:
If we tell you HIFU is not the right next step, we will tell you what is.
A standard session runs 60 to 90 minutes including consultation refresh, prep, treatment, and immediate aftercare. Time depends on area: full face plus neck runs longer than eye area or double chin alone.
Cleanse and pre-treatment photo
Skin is degreased; a photo is taken under standardised lighting for tracking.
Numbing cream and area mapping
Numbing cream is applied. Dr Samantha marks the treatment grid on your face, neck, or body, calibrating shot density per zone.
Treatment
Ultraformer MPT cartridges deliver focused ultrasound across the marked grid. Most patients describe a warm tingling along the bone, especially the jawline. Time depends on area.
Cooling mask and sunscreen
Hyaluronic acid mask plus broad-spectrum sunscreen. Brief redness is normal and usually settles within an hour.
Post-treatment review
Photo under the same lighting. Dr Samantha reviews aftercare and books any maintenance session.
Total chair time runs 60 to 90 minutes for most areas.

| Area | Sessions | Interval | Duration of results |
|---|---|---|---|
| Full face and neck | 1 session | Annual maintenance | 12 to 18 months |
| Lower face and jawline | 1 session | Annual maintenance | 12 to 18 months |
| Eye area | 1 session | Annual maintenance | 12 months |
| Double chin | 1 session | Annual maintenance | 12 to 18 months |
| Body laxity | 1 to 2 sessions | Annual maintenance | 12 months with sun protection |
Durability depends on age, lifestyle, sun exposure, and aftercare. Most patients hold results with one annual maintenance session.
HIFU quotes in Singapore run from a few hundred dollars to a few thousand, and the spread confuses almost everyone comparing clinics. The number that explains it is the shot count. Every session delivers a set number of focused ultrasound pulses, called shots, across the zones being treated, and in Dr Samantha's words, the prices depend on the amount of shots given. The table below shows what each area on the Nexus menu includes, so you can see what sits behind each price.
| Area | Price | Approx. shots per session | What it covers |
|---|---|---|---|
| First time | SGD 299 | About 200 shots | A first-session trial on one zone |
| Eye | SGD 500 | About 200 shots | The brow line and the skin around the eyes |
| Double chin / lower jawline | SGD 900 | About 400 shots | The under-chin zone and the jawline border |
| Upper face | SGD 1,200 | Calibrated at assessment | The brow and forehead zones |
| Lower face / jawline and neck | SGD 2,000 | About 800 to 900 shots | Jowls, jawline and neck in one session |
| Full face and neck | SGD 2,800 | 1,000 to 4,500, graded to laxity | Every facial zone plus the neck |
Counts are typical allocations per session, set at the assessment against your laxity grade and skin tone. They are calibration targets, not fixed quotas.
If you are comparing quotes between clinics, ask two questions before you look at the price: how many shots does the session include, and which zones do they cover. A small allocation on one zone and a full-face protocol are different sessions, and neither is wrong. They are simply not the same product, so the prices should not be read side by side.
HIFU and injectable skin boosters work on different layers, on different clocks. HIFU rebuilds structural collagen at the dermis and SMAS layer, and for most patients it is one session a year, reviewed at six months where laxity is more advanced. Boosters work closer to the surface on hydration and skin quality, and run in shorter cycles. Profhilo, for example, is typically dosed as sessions spaced about a month apart. Published data on the treatment cite results lasting around four to six months, though how long it lasts varies from patient to patient.
Because the clocks differ, the two treatments do not compete for the same slot in your year. A common sequence at Nexus anchors the year with the HIFU session, then places injectable skin booster cycles in the months between. Which comes first is a diagnostic call, not a menu choice: if the assessment shows laxity as the bigger finding, HIFU leads; if skin quality is the bigger finding, the booster cycle starts first.
The eye area is a commonly requested HIFU zone, and one of the more misunderstood ones. An eye session at Nexus delivers about 200 shots along the brow line and around the orbital rim, using the shallow cartridges built for thin skin. It suits early laxity: brow heaviness, crepey texture, and fine lines that deepen as skin loosens.
It is not the answer to everything around the eyes. Dark circles driven by pigment, and hollowness under the eye from volume loss, are different diagnoses, and tightening skin over a hollow does not fill it. That is why the assessment comes first. If the finding is pigment or volume rather than laxity, Dr Samantha will route you to the treatment that matches the cause instead.
HIFU is well tolerated when fluence and depth are calibrated correctly. Most effects are mild and transient. The honest split:
If you notice persistent numbness, asymmetric movement, or worsening tenderness past 72 hours, message Dr Samantha. The HIFU treatment cost at Nexus reflects the doctor-led depth calibration that minimises these effects.
Aftercare decides how well the result holds across the 12 to 18 weeks of collagen remodelling. Cool, hydrate, protect. The first 48 hours matter most for the redness response; weeks one and two matter most for daily care and sun protection.
Cleanse gently and protect
Non-foaming cleanser at night, lukewarm water, no scrubbing. A gentle moisturiser keeps the barrier intact. Tingling and mild redness for 24 to 48 hours is expected. Skip retinol, AHAs, BHAs, vitamin C, and niacinamide for 72 hours.
SPF 50+ and consistent care
Reapply every two hours outdoors. Tinted mineral sunscreens layer comfortably on Asian skin. Hyaluronic acid serums work well under the moisturiser. Avoid sauna, hot yoga, and intense exercise for 48 hours.
Let collagen remodel
Collagen remodels for 12 to 24 weeks. Daily care and aftercare matter more than any single product. Most patients see early firmness at week two and visible tightening by week eight.
Patient-specific instructions are covered at your post-session review.
Six benefits show up most often in Dr Samantha's clinical notes when fluence and depth are calibrated to your skin tone and laxity grade. Individual results vary.
Combined with proper aftercare, these benefits compound across the 12 to 24 weeks of collagen remodelling.
