How does it work?
When Botox is injected into the forehead, frown lines, and crow’s feet, it helps to reduce or eliminate lines and wrinkles. It is ideally suited for dynamic lines, which appear during facial expressions, but it can also improve static lines that are visible at rest. Additionally, when Botox is injected into the jaw muscles, it reduces their size, resulting in a more defined jawline and a V-shaped face.
Additionally, when injected into bulky muscles like the calves, Botox can help reduce their size, changing the overall shape of that body part. It can also be used in the hands or underarms (axilla) to treat excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis).

What is the procedure like? How long does it take?
First, topical numbing cream is applied for 15-30minutes. Subsequently, it is washed off and the doctor will mark the area to be treated before proceeding with the injections.
The injection procedure itself typically takes just a few minutes.

When will I see the results?
Usually you can start seeing results within a few days, with maximal results in 2 weeks for most areas. For areas such as the jaw muscles and calves, maximal results may take up to 3-4 weeks.
How long can the results last?
The effects of botox can last anywhere from 3 to 9 months, depending on individual and other factors.
Typically, 6 months is a good estimate.

Who is a suitable candidate?
Everyone with no contraindications can opt to have the treatment, whether it is for prevention of or treatment.
Is there downtime?
There may be needle marks or bumps (only for certain treatment areas). The bumps, if present, will subside within a few hours. Needle marks are usually minimally visible and should not be obvious after a few hours.
